ITINERARY

Day 1: Welcome to Cusco city + Cusco city tour.

Upon your arrival at Cusco airport, our representative will be there to welcome you. They will assist you in getting to your downtown Cusco hotel. Cusco sits at an elevation of 3,350 meters, and it’s common to experience some initial effects of the altitude upon arrival. To help acclimate, we recommend having a cup of Coca tea at the hotel, as it can be quite beneficial. Hotel check-in is typically at 12 pm, but if you arrive earlier, you can leave your luggage at the hotel as they offer complimentary storage. This will give you the opportunity to enjoy lunch, with plenty of restaurants available around the main Plaza of Cusco.

At 1 pm, we’ll commence the Cusco city tour. This tour includes visits to various sites within the city and Inca sites situated in the higher parts of Cusco. The tour usually begins at the Main Plaza of Cusco, a truly remarkable place. From there, you’ll proceed to the renowned Qoricancha, which is considered the center of the Inca Empire and where our civilization began. After exploring Qoricancha, we’ll continue our journey in transportation to the next Inca site, Sacsayhuaman, which is the largest and most distinctive site on this tour. It has its own unique charm distinct from Machu Picchu. You’ll have ample time to explore and enjoy this site. The tour will also take you to Qenqo, Pucapucara, and Tambomachay, which, although smaller in size, played significant roles in Inca times. You’ll have the chance to witness and appreciate the magnificence of each attraction. Our expert guide will provide you with detailed information about each site and capture the best photos as well.

After concluding the tour, you’ll return to the town by 6 pm, and we’ll drop you off at your hotel.

Your journey through the Sacred Valley offers a unique opportunity to discover the heart of Inca agriculture, showcasing their expertise in cultivating crops like potatoes, corn, and quinoa.

Our tour begins with a hotel pick-up at 8 am. From there, we’ll depart Cusco in our private transportation, heading towards Chinchero, our first official stop. Chinchero was once the capital of potato farming, and depending on the season, you’ll have the chance to witness the active farming areas. Moray served as a farming laboratory where the Incas experimented with crops from different elevations. It’s a place that allows you to connect with Pachamama, the Earth Mother, in a profound way.

Next, we’ll head to Urubamba for a well-deserved lunch. After enjoying this delicious meal, our adventure continues with a 30-minute drive to Ollantaytambo, often referred to as the last living Inca city. This picturesque location boasts a remarkable Inca archaeological site. You’ll have a guided tour that lasts approximately an hour, during which you’ll learn about the significance of this Inca stronghold. Following the tour, you’ll have some free time to explore the charming local village.

In the evening, you’ll board a train to Aguas Calientes, located at 2,000 meters above sea level. This is where you’ll spend the night. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, our guide will accompany you to the hotel.
