From the Sun Gate, it’s an easy one-hour downhill walk to the Machu Picchu citadel. This section of the trail leads to the upper part of the site, offering some of the most spectacular panoramic views. You’ll have plenty of time to explore, take photos, and fully enjoy the majestic surroundings.
After the guided visit, we’ll take a bus down to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you’ll check into your hotel. Once settled, you’ll have time to relax and freshen up before enjoying a delicious dinner at a local restaurant.
