1. How to Book Your Tour or Trek
Step 1 – Choose Your Adventure: Please browse our selection of treks, day tours, and cultural experiences. Popular options like the Classic Inca Trail and Salkantay Trek tend to sell out quickly, so we recommend booking early.
Step 2 – Submit Your Details: Please provide your full name, nationality, gender, date of birth, and passport number exactly as they appear on your passport. This is a prerequisite for obtaining permits and tickets.
Step 3 – Pay Your Deposit: A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your place. This card can be used to purchase Machu Picchu entry tickets, Inca Trail permits, train tickets, and reserve accommodations.
For tours and treks, a deposit of USD 200 per person is required.
For customized tour packages, a deposit of USD 500 per person is required.
For luxury tours, a deposit of USD 500 per person is required.
Step 4 – Receive Confirmation: Once we receive your deposit and details, we will send you a Booking Confirmation Email. This email will include your itinerary, packing list, and preparation tips.
2. Payment Methods.
Here at Qoricancha Expeditions, multiple safe and convenient ways to pay for deposits and remaining balances for travelers from all countries, to set up their next payment options. International transaction fees are applicable to all payment methods and the customer pays them.
1.- WeTravel (Recommended). Great for travelers everywhere.
WeTravel accepts all primary credit and debit cards, and also accepts bank (wire) transfers. Credit/Debit Card: processing fee of 2%, payment is done immediately. Bank Transfer: No platform fee (bank fees may apply depending on your bank). Processing Time 3 to 4 business days is generally time taken for bank transfers.
2.- Wise.
Wise is an easy to use international bank transfer platform, perfect for travel from Europe, the UK, Australia and North America. It uses the real mid-market exchange rate with low, transparent fees that cost you a fraction of regular bank transfers. Payments are typically processed within 1–2 business days, so Wise can be considered a perfect option for a tour deposit and for final balance payback for booking your Peru experience.
3.- Western Union:
It's an alternative method of payment for people seeking cash when transferring internationally. And it allows payments from countries around the world, and is available across most cities. Transfer fee is different per country, customer pays. Finances are generally available within a short time after the transfer has been processed.
PayPal. In a case of high transaction costs, available as a last resort. Processing fee: 5.5%
PayPal and credit card are accepted. It is fast, secure, and convenient (transaction fees apply).
Bank Transfer: These are available upon request; please allow extra time for processing.
Cash Payments: The remaining balance can be paid in Cusco in USD or Peruvian soles before your trek begins.

3. Balance Payment Policy.
In order to plan smoothly and afford all services, the balance should be paid per type of tour:
For trekking tours and Machu Picchu day tours, you make the final balance one day before each tour starts.
For luxury tours, we are required to settle the balance 15 days prior to departure, giving us the opportunity to confirm high-end accommodations, exclusive services, and logistics.
For personalized tours which need a lot of coordination and advance booking, the remaining amount is to be paid one month before start date for the tour.

That said, carrying a lot of cash can be a hassle, so we completely understand. If you like, you are welcome to complete your payment online using a secure payment method. 4. Passport Requirements
To visit Peru and any of the tourist places you may wish include Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail, you are required to carry your original passport, which is your primary and valid travel document. Copies are not allowed for official check-ins.
Visa Information.
A tourist visa has to be obtained from Peru for tourists from certain countries, including certain parts of Asia and from India. Visitors from Europe and many other countries don’t typically need a visa for brief stays, though visa policy can shift. Before traveling, we strongly advise you to check the local Peruvian embassy or consulate.
Passport Validity.
Since your journey begins at the start date, your passport should be valid for at least six months.
✴️ If you have booked your trip and must renew, please make sure that you bring both your new passport and your old passport. This is necessary to check in for Machu Picchu tickets and Inca Trail permits, which will also be issued with your original passport information.
5. Please take the following information into consideration.
Permit Policy: Please note that Inca Trail permits and Machu Picchu tickets are limited and issued in your name. These tickets cannot be changed, transferred, or refunded.
Group Size: Our treks are operated with small groups to ensure a personalized experience. Private tours are also available upon request.
Acclimatization: We recommend arriving in Cusco 2–3 days before your trek to allow time to acclimatize to the altitude and ensure an optimal experience.
6. After You Book
Once your booking is confirmed, you’ll receive:
Packing List: Detailed checklist for trekking in the Andes.
Travel Tips: Altitude advice, local customs, currency info and safety guidelines.
Briefing Session: Held in Cusco before your trek to review the itinerary, meet your guide, and check your gear.
