Itinerary

Day 1.- Cusco – Alpaca Farm, Pisac - Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes.

The night before your tour, our guide will meet you at your hotel at 6:30 pm to provide a detailed briefing outlining all aspects of the upcoming adventure.

Today you'll be picked up at 8 am from your hotel. After approximately 30 minutes of driving, you'll arrive at an Alpaca farm, where you'll have the unique opportunity to observe llamas, alpacas, guanacos, and vicuñas. This charming farm provides valuable insights into the textiles that our ancestors developed.

Following the visit to the Alpaca farm, our journey continues for about 1 hour to the Inca site of Pisac. Here, you'll have the chance to explore and learn about this remarkable Inca site, one of the largest in the Sacred Valley. Pisac was primarily used for agricultural purposes, featuring numerous terraces where our ancestors cultivated a variety of crops, including potatoes, corn, quinoa, and more.

After delving into the world of agriculture, you'll return to the town of Pisac, where you'll get a glimpse of the local market. The market offers a fantastic opportunity to witness the vibrant local culture and perhaps pick up some souvenirs.

Next, we'll head to Urubamba, where we'll stop for a delicious lunch. Following your satisfying meal, we'll embark on a 30-minute drive to the Inca site of Ollantaytambo. Here, you'll enjoy a walking tour as you explore this captivating archaeological site, which serves as a captivating precursor to the grandeur of Machu Picchu.

After completing the guided tour of Ollantaytambo, you'll board the afternoon train to Aguas Calientes, where you'll spend the night in preparation for your Machu Picchu adventure.

Day 2.- Machu picchu and back to Cusco.

Today marks the most significant day of your adventure. After an early breakfast at your hotel, your guide will meet you and escort you on a walk to the bus station, where you'll board one of the first buses heading up to Machu Picchu.

Upon arriving at the Machu Picchu citadel, your guide will lead you to the highest point, offering you the most breathtaking views of this remarkable site. Take your time to savor the beauty and grandeur of Machu Picchu from this vantage point.

Following this awe-inspiring experience, you'll continue with a comprehensive walking tour, exploring the most captivating aspects of the citadel. You'll have the opportunity to visit various temples, water canals, ancient paths, and other notable features. Your guide will provide you with in-depth information about this sacred city of Machu Picchu, enriching your understanding of its history and significance.

If you have plans to hike Huayna Picchu mountain, please inform us at the time of booking, so we can secure your tickets. The Huayna Picchu hike is an optional activity that costs $75 per person and can be done after the Machu Picchu guided tour. It typically takes about 2 hours for the round trip.

After concluding the guided tour, you'll take a bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you'll have time for lunch. Following your meal, you'll board the train back to the Sacred Valley, where our driver will be eagerly awaiting your arrival. They will then transport you back to your hotel in Cusco, with an approximate return time of 8 pm.
