Itinerary

Day 01: Moray - Maras - Ollantaytambo- Aguas Calientes.

Experience the essence of Cusco's finest farming areas, including Chinchero, Moray, and Maras, while delving into the fascinating world of Inca agriculture. The Incas were renowned farmers, cultivating crops such as potatoes, corn, quinoa, and more.

Our tour begins with a hotel pickup at 8 am, followed by a journey in our private transportation to Chinchero, our first official stop. Chinchero was once the capital of potato farming, and depending on the season, you may witness the blooming or harvesting of these vital crops. Chinchero has transformed into a hub for skilled weavers, and during our visit, we'll explore a weaving center. Here, you'll learn about the intricate process of producing various textiles. If you're interested in souvenirs, this is an excellent opportunity to make some purchases at reasonable prices.

Our journey continues to Moray, with picturesque views of the agricultural landscapes along the way. At Moray, we embark on a walking tour to discover the famous circular terraces, once an Inca farming laboratory where they experimented with crops from different altitudes. This sacred site provides a profound connection with Pachamama, our Mother Earth.

Following our exploration, we head to Urubamba for a delightful lunch. After savoring the delicious meal, we drive for approximately 30 minutes to reach Ollantaytambo, often referred to as the last living Inca city. This enchanting place boasts an impressive Inca archaeological site, and you'll enjoy a guided tour to learn about its historical significance. You'll have ample time to wander through the local village, immersing yourself in its charm.

In the evening, you'll board a train to Aguas Calientes, situated at an altitude of 2,000 meters. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, your guide will escort you to your hotel, where you'll spend the night. This tour offers a perfect blend of agricultural heritage, historical exploration, and natural beauty, providing an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Andes.
