Itinerary

Premium Sacred Valley tour.

Our tour begins with a pick-up from your hotel or Airbnb in Cusco at 7:00 am. Today is the perfect day to acclimatize to the altitude and explore some amazing sites in the Sacred Valley. On the way to the Sacred Valley, we will visit the Alpaca farm known as Awanacancha. Here, you'll have the chance to see South American camels such as Alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and guanacos. You'll also witness local artisans demonstrating the weaving process, providing valuable insights into the clothing worn in Inca times and today. It's a unique place to learn about Inca textiles, and if you wish to purchase souvenirs, you'll find items at more affordable prices compared to city stores.

Afterward, we'll continue to the Pisac Inca site, where you'll enjoy a guided tour exploring the site's beauty. This vast Inca site features numerous terraces where our ancestors cultivated potatoes, quinoa, and various grains. It also contains ceremonial areas used for different forms of worship to the gods. Following our tour, we'll proceed to Moray Inca site, known for its distinctive circular terraces. This site served as an agricultural laboratory for adapting crops from different altitudes before they were cultivated in farming areas, primarily potatoes.

Next, we'll visit the salt mines, the only ones in Cusco. You'll witness how locals produce salt and transport it to the market. Following this, you'll have time to enjoy lunch (not included, but your guide will provide options). After lunch, we'll head to the Ollantaytambo Inca site, an important site preceding Machu Picchu. You'll receive a guided tour, exploring the most significant areas and capturing the site's beauty through photography.

Finally, we'll return to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel. If you're planning to embark on an Inca Trail-related tour the next day, we strongly recommend booking a hotel in Ollantaytambo. This way, your pick-up time will be at 6:00 am, rather than the 4:00 am pick-up in Cusco.
